September 2016 issue

Why is it so hard for the United States to get rid of gun violence? We explore this serious issue in our September issue, in a way kids can understand — Photo: Wikimedia.

Dear teachers,

I apologise for the delay in providing the IDEAS activities that go with the September issue of What’s Up. My mother passed away soon after we finished work on the issue. We were able to get the paper out on time, but IDEAS has been delayed as a consequence.  I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you and your colleagues.

Check out our new website at http://more.whatsup.sg/. Although we are basically a print newspaper, we do put some “extras” online.  We curate the videos and slideshows with care, to ensure that the content is informative, visually appealing and easy for children to comprehend.

Sincerely,
Mary George and the What’s Up team
